Did you miss the part where GT5 is not coming out for another 7 months at least? When it does come out it will probably surpass Forza 3 since its coming out a year later. However Forza 3 is probably going to have features that surpass GT5 and GT5 will have features that surpass Forza 3. Both games will have their strengths. Any true racing sim fan would know that both games are great and would play both if he could.

yeah forza will have its strenghts but GT5 will win in 80% of the areas.

maybe they should stop releasing a game every 2 years and work on a game for 3-4 years then comeout out with it.

Strong words coming from someone who probably hasen't even played F3 or GT5.

How do you know? Did you played both games? (I doubt you played Forza 3, so I don't know what you are doing here to begin with, perhaps just trolling?)

More years = nothing. Look at the PSP version of Gran Turismo. They promised a great game for the PSP but in the end, this game has no campaign mode (one of the best things about the GT series).

Like it or not, F3 is technically the best racing sim so far and GT5 isn't out yet, so you can't compare both games yet.

You won't know that until you play both and I very much doubt you have even played Forza 3 so I would hold off on those comments.

Secondly GT4 came out December 2004. It will have been almost 6 years between games by the time GT5 has come out. You may be ok with that but I'll take a solid game every 2 years with amazing reviews over a great game every 6 years. But hey thats just me, I guess some people enjoy waiting over half a decade to actually play games.

Forza 1 and GT4 came out at the same time. Forza 1 was the more realistic game.

Since then we have had Forza 2. And now the fantastic FM3. GT5 imo to be 80% better firstly needs to do things FM2 was doing. GT5P didnt even have 360 HZ physics but only 120!? This has major ramifications doing speeds where physics are concerned.

I'd rather Polyphony get dry racing right first before they attempt wet. And what happens when FM4 is released in Holidays 2011. GT6 will be 4 years away from that, and the rate that Turn 10 improve every iteration GT franchise will be far behind when FM4 hits. I cannot stress enough how good the tyre deformationand aerodynamics are in FM3. Doing a 30 lap race is so much more than peddle to the medal. It's looking after your tyres, keeping your tyre temps up for grip, dealing with fuel weights etc. GT5 MUST have this to even compare for realism. And all realtime tyre deformation. Realtime.

I love that Turn 10 dont make us wait 4-5 years for each update. Especially when the updates are as impressive as they are.

It's not about graphics. It's about community. It's about realism. One thing to experience for any racing fan is a 30 lap race in FM3 online. With all realism settings. Somone who can get their tyres up to a good temperature quick is going to have more grip. Someone who hammers their tyres for the first 8 laps is gonna loose grip quicker. The physics are truly amazing, even at 160 MPH. 360 HZ physics is a must. It really does wonders for realsim. This is all done in realtime, rather than simulated. The last video in the op is a great video. Watch how realistically the player is fighting the car. Pushing to far has it's consequences. Rather than just being a case of braking to late or not turning in at the right time, even something simple as overtorquing is greatly represented in FM3. Something never seen in realtime in a GT game yet.

Pretty sad you can't talk about Forza 3 on this site without GT being brought up.
