Ehmmm, Pop n' Music Wii wasn't released this week, it was released last year if I'm not mistaken. And the general concensus is that the game is a turd. Konami ruined their series.

Oh and any predictions for Zangeki no Reginleiv and Madworld for next week? The games are being released tomorrow, and considering we got the weekly leak from Famitsu, we might get the 1st day sales leak.

Anyways, I'm expecting 4k for Madworld and 15k for Zangeki on their first weeks respectively.

10k and 32k LT each.

I think those predictions are pretty good tres. Madworld deserves to crater, but I really wish Reginliev would do well. Sandlot can;t catch a break it seems, unless they're doing a SIMPLE game. :(

That's true, Sandlot may want to expand on their genres a bit, not that their games are bad, but they are too niche. One could think with Nintendo's push, the new color for the disc case, it could have done better, but it seems the game is not interesting at all for the Japanese. I'm sure the game could sell better in the USA/Europe, it has a Western setting with medieval castles and the like, so I hope we get to play it some day.

Both games are getting the Black Case as a first, perhaps in the long run it could have an effect?

Yeah, the setting, gameplay, gore, etc, really seem tailor made for the west.  All that plus online and motion plus support makes you think think it'd be a surefire localization.  On the other hand, Nintendo. :/

I'm pretty sure the numbers posted were just for comparison's sake (to the psp version) and not because it released this week.

BTW a new Wii game has been announced, which is a mixture of Pokemon and music games, can anyone confirm what this is?

I don't know, I thought Reginleiv would be bigger than that. Maybe I just don't know the Japanese audience but a very arcadey hack-and-slash seems to me like something that would work there...

On the other hand it doesn't look like something that would appeal in the West.
