1.6 million for a 24 year old that works at a freight forwarding company? Sure punish the guy but that sounds quite excessive. If it was a company with lots of money i would understand...

The dudes just going to file bankruptcy and start over.

Around the Network

ugh nintendo,
make your system hard to hack and it wouldn't matter if people could "copy" it.

Shouldn't the retailer that sold him the game a week before its' release be held accountable as well?

Also correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't you need a modded console to be able to play this pirated version on a burnt disc? Meaning those who downloaded it were always going to obtain an illegal copy eventually. It seems the issue is more to do with the breach of release date.

Here's looking at you next Mass Effect 2 uploader.

Am I the only one on Nintendo's side here? Pirates like this make our games more expensive you all realise.

No they don't, the only thing that's keeping prices as high as they are is the consumer demand and acceptance. I'd suggest you study some economical theory if you really want to know how things work.

On topic, it's retarded to punsih 24 year old kid with something he can't repay even after selling all his organs. Too bad he wasn't from China or Russia, noone there gives a toss about copyright laws.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
