You will be missing out on A LOT. ME2 plays up your actions in ME pretty heavily throughout the game.

The code is for an extra character. It's not essential to the game at all and I wouldn't suggest paying the money for it.

If you're just renting the game, don't bother with the code.

yea in part 1 i was a bad guy, now i have to be the bad guy all over again,

I've played ME2 with and without the ME1 saved game and it makes very little difference. Apart from a few story differences which you get each time you play anyway the game is essentially the same.

It's essentially the same game but the sense of ownership is gone. The game makes default choices for you instead of being able to mold the world to your liking.

yea imagine since i was the baddie in part one everyone would be like fear me or something if i were to have my old save file. but its going to be fun to be the bad guy again.

You would have been better off buying it. RPG's are the worst type of game to rent since they take so long to beat and have many extra side quest that will add on to your gameplay time. If you are interested in an RPG you should just buy it. PS: Mass Effect is only 20 dollars now if you want a sense of ownership when playing the game.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Then the game may be quite different for you because I have the feeling that the default ME2 playthrough will have you saving the council in ME and a few character changes that I don't want to give away.
