Honestly I'm a huge fan of light gun games (my youth was me wasting quarters playing HotD 2 player with me controlling both guns) but man Dead Space Extraction impressed my friend way more than it did me... you'd meet a character, that character would die, you never felt anything for said character so their death was meaningless, then it tried to combine Dead Space gameplay and lightgun gameplay which is basically arcade love through and through, and it didn't work for me. Not to mention the bugs... not a lot mind you but they're there...

Visually I was impressed though, like when the mining crew was in the suits it looked just as good as they did on PS3/360 it really looked above and beyond the normal Wii game.

It might actually sell on PSN/XBLA cause they wouldn't charge 50 dollars for it and there's been like one lightgun game total on the PS3, some people like my friend will like it, I however will stick to HotD Overkill that's a game that HD only owners should beg for lol

I would get a light gun game for 9.99 from PSN. They are great for a saturday night. But I dont beg for one lol

Only 9.99? Son the arcades of my day would have eaten you alive, a dollar per play and they had the difficulty set on high

I am not very young man. I remember ~15 years ago playing house of the dead and Jurassic park in the arcades...and virtual cop lol i loved that one. I payed them lots and lots of money :)

Which is kinda my point, lightgun games are arcade games, why cost so low? 9.99 isn't much, I mean you have to pay 15 for most bigger games on PSN, like Battlefield 1943, 3 maps and a dog fight area, totally worth 15, while a lightgun game usually offers more

How will it work on X360? On PS3 ok they got wands/dildos to make light gun game but how are people supposed to control it with Natal ?

On rail shooters have their place and they're fun when I'm in the mood for it. I can certainly see the reason behind the huge disappointment people would have felt if they were expecting a normal free roaming FPS though.

PSN/XBL folks will know exactly what they're getting, and so every sale will be to someone who wants an on rails shooter.

Just guide the on screen target/cursor with the sticks. Is how other games do it when no lightgun plaugged in.

Light gun game without lightgun is pathetic - I played Virtua cop on mouse when i was young and that was shitty.

Oh EA, you really aren't doing yourselves any favours with your 'we tried our best' stance when that best try ends up as a budget DL title on the other platforms.

If it was really that good, they'd be confident enough to give it a close to full price disc-based release.
