Its a definite possibility but after all the work M$ has already done to keep the 360 ahead im pretty sure M$ is going to pull out all the stops to make sure that doesn't happen even if it means getting drastic...

PS3 will NOT top xbox this gen and why does it matter? Both systems have good games, both can coexist, and competition is good for the consumer either way. Anyone who says PS3 will overtake xbox is just evading the facts and Microsoft love them or hate them are quite good with business tactics and they have nearly unlimited funds at their disposal unlike Sony.

Sony will have to sell the PS3 like the wii to make any decent money on it. specialy after all the money spent on the cell, blue ray etc.

i cant belive sony is still losing money on the console.

At least MS have come out this gen with a HUGE advancement compared to the old Xbox.

however you look at it.... unless the ps3 sells like the wii sony will have lost ground and at a HUGE price.

I wouldn't bet on it happening just yet, I will wait for natal and see the public's reaction.
I will also wait and see how Sony market the PS eye and the wand to combat natal.

Price cuts hurt the manufacturer's revenue as well as the competition's sales and is not something that MS (or any company) takes lightly contrary to popular belief.

To make this call right now is too early IMO. If forced to make a call I'll back the horse in front simply because it is in front (HD consoles only).
