Forums - Gaming - Gamespot Review of Assassin's Creed- 9.0

The question comes down to who do you trust. IGN or Gamespot. 1up or Gamesradar. The funny thing is I trust IGN over Gamespot and I know this game is getting mixed reviews but I am so close to running out and getting it right now. I think I might actually like it. Does anyone know if you can upgrade items or weapons in this game?

"Why do they call it the xbox 360? Because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away"

Reading the Gamespot and IGN reviews side by side you'd think they were reviewing two completely different games.

I also hate the recent trend to spend whole paragraphs harping on minor framerate/tearing issues that I have never in my life actually seen without it being pointed out to me anyway.

I guess my eyes are not good enough to notice any difference other than lighting and textures. Both sides of the video seem to stutter at times. Seems like a non issue to me. I like the 360 textures lighting a little better but the PS3 looks a bit washed but seems to be smoother on the edges. Could be differences in sharpness settings.

The only valid complaint I've seen on any of the reviews is repetiton in the mission structure. I'd reserve judgement on that untill I get to play it myself. Definatly worth palying on either system.

Tried to but the PS3 video has been removed and it has this update posted .

Update 5: The PS3 video has been removed. Due to a small mistake it was running at almost half the framerate most of the time. A new version is encoding as I write this. Sorry about that, it won't ever happen again

So ,it was a fake you put your hopes into .After CVG the 360 game can run 1-2 frame/s per second better but the PS3 game is sharper .Too many different opinions ,I will leave this at that they both look equally good .

PS:Confirmed IGN has edited their review they dont say a thing anymore about the frame rate of the PS3 version. This smells bad .

Yay! It is almost as good as WarioWare!

(Note to remind you of Gamespot's broken ranking system)

I will never leave you

I had mixed feelings putting down $60 on the game, but so far no regrets. It's pretty good, and oh so bad ass so far.

Anecdotally, while I was at the EB, I saw 2 guys pick up the game for PS3 and 5 (myself included) for 360.

No doubt it well sell lots, its been highly anticipated for some time now but i hope the inevitable sequel irons out all the flaws with the gameplay that people have been criticising.

Games i'm currently playing:

After 14 reviews, it's at 81.4% on gamerankings. Apparently more than just 1up has had issues with the game.
