Ha ha ha. PS3 is "dominant in Japan and Korea". Weeeeelllllll... it would be if it weren't for a little white machine called Wii.
You can't use the word "dominant" without qualification if you're completely ignoring >50% of the market (in Japan at least). Poor reportage reallly.
Still on the overall "PS3 is improving market share" information it's hardly news to us is it? Good (and free) PR for Sony and PS3 though. Folks like to buy stuff that the media is telling us is increasing in popularity. It's the reverse of the death spiral that PS3 was apparently in 2 years ago.
PS2 could go for another couple if years if it's still achieving decent sales in those emerging markets. I wonder how well VGC is managing to estimate those emerging market sales, they must be a bit tricky to nail down if they are growing while "established" markets are on the decline.
