Forums - General Discussion - I got summon for jury service. THIS SUCKS!

You can get out of it if you can prove that you're bias. Just walk in saying "I'm gonna make sure sure they get the chair, regardless of what they have done, I just wanna see someone fry"...

Also say something extremely racist for good measure.

Other suggestions on a postcard please.

I got arrested once, does this mean they won't ever call on me?

Only if the conviction is not classed as 'spent'.

that would get you fined immediately with a contempt of court.

Anyways, I just looked it up, and the average length of jury duty is 1-2 days. Only reason I was looking it up was to answer Seece's question, which the answer is they really don't seem to care in the US, but the lawyers might decide to pass on you. I don't know what the law is in the UK.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

It wouldn't actually hurt to go. Though take everyone's advice because they got it right. Going kinda off topic I gotta go to my own case in the morning (8:00 AM) and all because of a stupid secretary not putting me in the computer correctly. >.

Actually, I would imagine jury service being pretty easy with my years of experience listening to phoenix Wright games.

Innocent every time! Believe in the defendant!

You may get fined and have to go to court as the defendant at a later date. But, I'm sure you will agree that it will get you out of jury duty.

Are you kidding?  It's absurdly comical how those games put the burden of proof on the defendant. XD

On topic: You can always try to pull the jury nullification trick, OP.  If the court buys it, they should send you home ASAP.
