Cmon guys...join the discussions going on there...that thread needs life, kinda like the FFXIII thread - unfortunately not many on vgchartz is hyped for GoW III...

only people who made the official thread and people who are engrossed in hot debates on the topic visit the official threads.some newbies visit them too(not insulting or anything but many peopl think following official thread make them a bigger and better fan of that game).

Sure I'm ready for the backlash but I think this statement in your opening describes my opinion best:

Well real gamers care! I personally don't care about the graphics and just want a game that is fun to play. I felt like the first GoW was very fun with fluid and fast combos. GoW II was not nearly as fun and seemed like they were going for more of the cinematic/movie feel with the player doing less. GoW III seems like it is going to that extreme, great graphics but stale and repetitive game play. Hopefully I am wrong :)

Indeed, the Cell is like a fine whisky. It actually improves with age! XD

It really good but still doesn't make my jaw drop at the moment, I was more impressed with uncharted 2.
When ps4 will come out it will support all the new shaders effects and capabilities like ray tracing and tessellation wich are in development at the moment for DirectX11 games, to see an example of this new engines and shaders capabilities you should look this demo:

I feel the same way, "the gameplay isn't good but at least it looks incredible".. that doesn't make sense! They are freakin video games, you play them to have fun. If I want to watch jaw dropping graphics without playing a game then I'd watch BBC's Planet Earth.

Though I do believe the gameplay will be good, it's just crazy to think people play games because they look good and they aren't even fun.

i am not a hack n slash fan but i will rent this for sure

I might pick this up if it's actually gonna be a quality title unlike the first two.
