Any word on connectivity though? I'm really curious how Sonic 3 and Knuckles will work, or Sonic 2 with Knuckles. They'd have to be total d-bags if they try to charge 800 points for them, it's also why I've held off on getting S3 from the VC store.

It's guranteed to have the connectivity since Japan has the same. I'll have to grab some Nintendo points now, can't remember the last time - it was years ago!

For once it's actually good to live in the EU.

If this has connectivity I will download it instantly.

Japan has connectivity? Nice, good news.

Sonic & Knuckles has the best damn ending in a platformer of all time. Doomsday Zone was epic.

Similar to Nintendo's strategy with VC games, releasing a predecessor game of a franchise for an upcoming new successor game.

Yeah, MegaMan 1-2 preceeded MM9 (and MM3) came not long after.  Evidently they're doing the same for MM4-6 with MM10.
