This is my own personal take on the game now that i've played quite a bit of it.

At first, I was very excited about this game, up to the point when it started getting these ridiculously bad reviews I wasn't expecting.

Hype meter went from 100% to almost 0%, but I kept the faith. I decided to become a rebel and buy the game anyway, and this is after days of contemplating: Do I wait for Bioshock 2 which looks like its going to be another great installment? or buy WKC, something new, from a developer that I've trusted for years?

The first hour of WKC, I wasn't at all impressed, and I was a little bit letdown.

But, the gameplay was surprisingly fun, and addictive.

The environments and graphics are not as bad as reviewers say.

Story is very average, but its SLOWLY getting interesting, which is something that's typical for a JRPG.

The only two things I must knock the game for is the poor lip-synching in the cinematics, and in the combat where distance matters to you, but does not matter to the enemies.

The online aspects of WKC is very interesting, but i think they need to work on it a little bit more for the sequel.

The georama aspects is cool, and something that i would say a plus.

Overall, I do not think it is as easy as some of the reviews say, but once you get used to the system, it is very convenient.

Verdict: It's not as bad as the critics say. I think WKC, doesn't look as good overall, but if you examine its parts, there's a lot of customizations, and its really deeper than it looks even if its slower. Its not the best, but will probably get better when the 2nd game comes around, if my bet that the story will become more epic comes true. =]

This game is a time sink. I already spent 8 hours on it already.

I think the game is great. I was waiting a typical RPG like this. The only problem im having is trying to play demon sould an this game at the same time, with alittle bit of call of duty on the side:) dam, i wished I had more time........

guess that set the bar too high for them.

and the bar was already high to begin with.

i can see why they would be so harsh.

again, i still think it is too harsh. maybe 70s across the board and a few 60s and 80s. but i would never score this game below 60. some sites actually gave it 40s and 50s. -_-

i dont care about reviews, this game will be bought, but as  i said months ago, Last Rebellion, FFXIII and Star Ocean will be my first three.
