I think MGS4 could still get a trophy patch if they do a MGS Substance/Subsistence version. I thought I read that was planned a while ago. That it would be called MGS4: Existence

i really don't understand why a lot of the older games haven't gotten a trophy patch (yet...?). especially when a game has an ingame trophy-like system it really can't be hard to do. the triggers are already there, just link it with the damn trophies :P
i'd love to replay games like folklore, heavenly sword, VC, R&C and soul calibur for trophies :(

don't you think it would also sell a few thousand copies?

50 trophies for folklore would be amazing, i'd play it all over again an' then some even over wkc, bioshock 2, and so4: i, if they did that.

I thought Kojima said the MGS4 throphies were coming, and told people to wait. But I can't recall when that was.

Konami Says to "Be Patient" for MGS4 Trophies

We've noticed that in almost every story about Metal Gear Solid 4, at least one person mentions that they'd really like to see Trophies added to the game. Konami has heard the pleas, here and elsewhere, and intends to do something about it -- just not yet. In the latest Kojima podcast (via The Examiner), Sean Eyestone addressed the common request. "I just want to tell everybody out there right now that your voices are being heard and that we're not ignoring you," he said. "We hear everything you are saying. It's just that we can't say anything just yet."

Eyestone goes on to urge patience, not once but twice. "As soon as we have something to say, we will announce it. So if we can just ask everyone to just be patient, we will give you an answer. ... So we just ask for everyone's understanding with that and just ask for everybody to remain patient and we'll let you know."

What they're waiting for is anyone's guess. Maybe they're waiting for Old Snake to croak so he won't snap their necks for handing out war baubles. Maybe the Trophy descriptions from Hideo Kojima were novella-length essays on the nature of war and need to be trimmed down. Whatever the reason, it sounds like Trophies are on the way... eventually.

I remember that article but it seems now that it's just to keep the fans happy, perhaps they will unveil it after Peace Walker and Rising are released.
