Okay so I'm not really Canadian, but I live in Canada and with luck will be Canadian before too long.

I am the owner of a 40GB satin silver PS3. It's in pristine condition because the people I got it from (my in-laws) let it collect dust for like two years, but it's Taiwanese so it won't play PS1 or PS2 games that are from my region. ANYWAY

So I want to grab some PS3 games. I would have Valkyria Chronicles already but the game is ass-backwards hard to find in Canada, and if I want to get it from Amazon.ca it'll cost me like $45 Canadian.

So.

Say I want to spend a hundred bucks getting some bitching games for the PS3 to kick-start my collection. I'm fine with them being older games. I'm even fine with them being downloadable, though I generally prefer disc-based.

Can I get some recommendations from you lot? Keep in mind that as a buyer I am essentially Canadian, and prices and availability have to be figured as such. But name me some good games that are fairly cheap and should be easy to find.

And please nobody say MGS4, we are going to try to avoid recommendation cliche here.

Well, Uncharted 2 is probably going to be full price, but it is the best game on the system

Assuming you have internet, LBP is a candidate, as if you can only afford a few games, then it will be good to have one that will last for ages, and LBP will do that

get on ebay and just search "ps3" then click games category... then arrange by BIN price

Since games aren't locked order them cheaper from amazon.com (not amazon.ca) and buy some from bestbuy and gamestop. I got Valkaryia Chronciles 20 USD new.
