Okay, so there is precedent for this.

And now I wonder if this was the case for the Lego games.

Well, those were PS2 lead originally, but I wouldn't be surprised if they shifted to Wii lead at this point.

BTW, I looked and Mini Ninjas sold about 150K on each of the HD systems, and 200K on the Wii.

Yeah, it was a decent little "under the radar" seller.  The game's supposed to be pretty good too, Wii version looks nice.  SE highlighted in their IR report that quarter too iirc.

this could be a reason why the grinder got a delay http://coffeewithgames.blogspot.com/2010/02/wii-hd-confirmed-via-grinder.html

Or perhaps it was delayed because there's far more work involved in producing a four-way multiplatform title than a Wii exclusive?

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

CAn we definitively say that the trailer was from a wii system? I know it is on IGN wii etc. but some of those images look astonishingly good graphics wise.

Wasn't Wii the lead platform for a Harry Potter game a year or two ago as well?

The trailer doesnt show its looking great on the wii, thats not the wii version. If i had to say, id say thats the 360 version.

There's been a few as mentioned here. Also I'm sure some Wii games will be enhanced and ported to HD systems for Natal / Arc launches like Your Shape, EA Sport Active, Boom Blox and your favourite - Game Party 1, 2 and 3!

I'm starting to wonder if HVS is losing faith in the Wii.

They aren't showing the HD versions until GDC. You obviously didn't read the interview.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I think there are some pre-rendered scenes on that trailer, some scenes are very good to be real time.
