Forums - General Discussion - Cat on LSD completely possesed

That pisses me off SOOOOOOOO much. They can test that on a human not a defenseless animal. Like twesterm said It makes want to knock somebody flat on their ass.

reminds me of that elephant they gave 3000mg of the stuff to back in the 60's
just evil

Why they did that test on an animal? They should've done it on a human... I mean, they get this kind of stuff on their systems by own choice anyway.

The CIA spiked the coffee of certain employees with LSD in the 50s and 60s.

So yeah, they did Human testing. Without consent.

So testing it on a sentient being, with understandable emotions and feelings is better than an animal incapable of any kind of recognizable intelligence? Just because its cute?

Thats something I can back.

well, remember that LSD was legal in at least part of the 60's iirc
not that it makes things better from a moral perspective though
especially the animal testing.
Trials in labs with consenting human 'victims'? i'm more ok with that

Except most of these trials were done without the subjects knowledge. That was the point: to see how a person would react without knowing the drug had been administered.

oh I'm not denying that at all

but humans did sign up (and still do) for voluntary lab drug testing on themselves for cash

Agree.  It's not so much the species thing, or that the cat has no idea that he is even high, but that the dosage is so high that the cat is incapable of doing anything more than convulsing.  If they did lsd tests on people then they would just let them walk around and hallucinate for fun and I  feel that they are more willing to give an animal what appears to be a close to lethal dose.

You can't OD on LSD for humans, so I can't see why animals would be any different. And they gave humans far more than the does required to induce hallutinations without consent.

Even when the people were given acid, they could still walk around or at least sit up in most cases
