The Google CEO is a hypocritical douche, I would rather have Steve Jobs take a toxic dump on my face than use Chrome.

Dead serious.

it happens to be that big because its already installed in when a person starts up the computer *with windows anyways*, even if 124123412312341 users use it, it doesnt mean its the best, it just means they havent tried others, or maybe do not care which is the best, now, for browser noone can really say which is best (prolly firefox imo), but i can say that IE is not...it crashes, its slow, and its just a plain hog

I don't get the crashes some people do, and on the rare occasion I do get a crash it automatically restores the page. Because so many people use it, most websites are designed to work well in IE. And if people aren't trying out other browsers IE is obviously good enough for them.

IEFTW

As a web developer who's spent countless hours trying to adjust a perfectly working website (on ALL other browsers) to the piece of crap called Internet Explorer, I beg you to just... research.

I just started using Google Chrome 4.0

It's a bit weird, being used to FF, but the transition has been pretty smooth I think

Firefox, no other browser comes close,

I have tried Chrome a few times but I think it is complete crap, Google only made it so it can launch their online apps quicker, as a browser Chrome really is lacking in features, and the new art designs for chrome lmao.....

And for people saying Chrome is faster than Firefox, install Fasterfox Light, Firefox is then MUCH faster than Chrome.

I also used to use Opera but they seem to be losing the plot with each new update, it runs very poor on our pc's and takes ages to load websites, it used to be very good though, weird!

FF has all that I need. Switched to it after the worm Bugbear crashed failing to infect my PC and I discovered that I risked having my personal data, including credit card number and passwords, stolen, because that pile of dung of IE, despite I explicity chose in its settings to not memorize those data, silently stored it in the infamous index.dat (and it kept on doing it for years, BTW).
Now I use IE only to access Windows Update.

Yea, Microsoft doesn't care about making their own browser standard with the industry.  I guess they don't feel they have to, considering it is only a pain the in ass for web designers, and web designers are going to have to make their website compatible with IE anyway considering so many clueless people use IE.

I don't use IE mainly for the viruses and the lack of stability.  I prefer Chrome, but use Firefox because it is more stable and has a better flashblock.
