Dante's Inferno is getting lacklustre reviews..and I knew it would. Which is a shame. My initial thoughts about the game when it was announced was positive...Its made by the guys who did Dead Space and its kinda like God of War..which isn't a bad thing.
Then I played the demo and I made a huge rant on this site about it being a rip-off with no originality in gameplay. I also said that because its copying one of the best franchises of ALL TIME, there are bringing their own downfall on themselves because it would lead to direct comparisions.
It was basically copying God of War and not meeting the high standards set by it - Because of that I thought games like Darksiders and Bayonetta which have some originality in them would be better.
IGN UK agrees.

"So what's a developer to do? Why, find another game with no guns, cars or aliens and rip it off, or so it would seem in the case of Dante's Inferno. In fact, this game has so many similarities to a certain other series it's hard to believe it wasn't originally called Dante's Infernof War."
I will be picking this up when its cheap though..
Visceral, I still have faith that you will make DS2 awesome. How do you guys feel about this ? I think its a shame... Hopefully it'll sell pretty well that they'll be forced to make a sequel that they can improve on..
