It's natural that countries with lower population density have a lower average connection speed.

Im pretty sure my country is way in the bottom.

I have a 3mb connection and thats considered pretty good in my country.

I dunno. Internet speed was pretty much the same in Japan as in America. Can't say the same for Jordan or The West bank though as I had enough time to go make a snack in between load times.

Why does the article single out America? Seems like Dutch are gloating...

"haha...we beat America! in something"

Maybe because everytime you compare something like this you include the most influential country in the world? it would be stupid to not iclude it.

Well, it depends on which state you reside in. For example, if you live in Alaska, Wyoming, Idaho, or Montana, the mean speed is below 3 mbps. If you live in Delaware or Rhode Island, the mean speed is 10 mbps. Unsurprisingly, the more densely populated the state you live in, the higher the mean internet speed is. The tope five states for internet speed are in the top ten for population density.

We beat America in many ways.

Anyway wouldn't it be logical to include the most powerfull country in the world.

It was a study done by US researchers.

Also it does not talk about America, but the United States of America instead. In the rest of America I think the average internet speed is much lower.

I dont think so. Mexico brings it down but Canada picks it up... so I think it should even out at the end. We North Americans are happy to be at 5.1 Mbs
