now that the ps3 is 300, it's the best looking deal (on paper) out of the three. You can't ignore free wifi, hard drive, and the blu ray feature combo.

It's because he's referencing the PS3 Slim and not the 80 gb one. Sony need to update their chart....:( |
They couldn't; this was released last Friday, days before we, er..."knew" about the Slim.
But just replace "80 GB" with "120 GB" and it still works!
The 360 is no longer bundled with HDMI cables...they're just giving standard composite cables now too....

But anyhow, I have all three systems and bought them all at launch (meaning I think they're worth every penny they originally sold for). But for current price, I'd have to say the ps3 slim is the best deal.

I would personally go for a 360 Arcade. I'm a very careful and smart shopper, so I can gather all of the necessary add-ons on the cheap from Craigslist. You have people selling 360 bundles including hard drives, extra controllers and games all for $150.
The reason why it's also beneficial is because in the US, the 360 outsells the PS3 by a lot and has a huge difference in userbase, so there are good odds most of my friends are online gaming on it and not a PS3.
I can get good deals on Wii's also and it would be my secondary choice. The PS3 slim though is brand new, and will be by far the most expensive going by the avenues with which I shop. I would also rather get a used 60GB because I'm a big PS2 fan, and I could gather that for a clean $250 if I'm lucky with games attached.
Sorry if I'm breaking the rules of the thread by not shopping retail, but that's just not my scene unless there's a killer sale going on.
i would go for a PS3 probably, just for the library of games, and the price.
I think the Wii is too expensive at the 250 price point
ps3 of course. i would metaphorically compare the xbox360 as a a setting sun. it sold as much as it sold with the cheap, low quality arcade and i think not that many will be xbox even with the economy is in a recession. i think it is comparing chevy and toyota. which one would you buy? even the press is still against the toyota due to failing american brand, i will still buy japanese or korean brand cars (if i can afford, of course german brand).

toyota=/= PS3
toyota = Wii
PS3 Slim= Mecerdes C-Class...
And u realize even with GM doing bad...they were the number one selling manufacturer last year:

And Chevy accounts for 60% of sales.....so there goes your theory.
