The elite

If i were to have to start from scratch again and buy a first console then i would go for the Slim PS3...

If i was new to this generation of consoles with no experience with the previous generation i would take the PS3 without giving it much thought. however since i've stuck with nintendo since SNES and so far they havent disappointed me, unless they decied next generation they will go completly casual, which i doubt.

Anyway seeing as i came into this generation with a GC, and if i would be "stuck" with the GC up to this point i would consider the Wii because of 1. i'm familiar with nintendo and 2. BC.
Even though Wii games get higher priority when i decide what to play. Its nice to sometime pickup some of the GC games.

It would be quite fun to try something different, i told myself i was gonna by a xbox last generation but i ended up with a GC because i just couldnt let go of the Mario and Zelda games, mostly (if not entirely) due to nostalgia. Same with this generation i was planning on buying a PS3 (since i have a ps2 since 3-4 years back...well that idea seems to have gone down the drain since sony announced no more BC on PS3s) but now i'm here with the Wii for the same reasons as i chose the GC.
I suspect i will always buy a nintendo console unless for the reason i stated previously or if in a couple of years tire of games completly (lets not hope so...)

IF I'm a netflix owner, want a mostly complete BC and don't want to wait for my bluray: the elite

If i dont wanna pay 50 bucks a year for online and want bluray: PS3 Slim

The Wii is now just a side option for me.

But I have all 3 consoles so it shouldnt really matter to me.

I get lots of stuff for the for a cheap price.

u get the same stuff as the 360 elite minus the bluray( netflix),wifi ( backwards compablity.....mostly), and free online( though Live is superior).These two just basically cancel each other.

It justs "who will have the better games" now. Though that's goes towards the ps3, depending on who you ask....whos not a fanboy.

Add BC to 360 Elite! 

Oh and netflix for Elite and Arcade.

I would choose the ps3...the xbox 360 arcade is nearly the same price considering you have to buy a wifi and pay for the subscription of xbox live, plus you have 256mb compared to the 120gb the ps3 slim has.

Why didn't you just post the official Sony PR chart and be done with it?

Assuming that I had no current-gen system, I would look at what I already owned, and easily decide on the Wii. Personally, I like the VC service, the innovative controls, and the fact that I can still play my GC games on it. (If it weren't for the GB player, it would be disconnected from the TV.) Second would go to the Elite 360. Again, we've a few XBox games, and there's a lot of stuff on XBLA that interests us. Not to mention all the RPGs that have come out for it. (And the Atlus games are icing on the cake there...)
