Forums - Sales - To People Who Think Sony is in Dire Straits

You are telling me that the recession may become a depression. And you are saying chill out?

And you are saying that all three companies are going down the tubes, instead of one? And that is better news somehow? And somehow makes Sony's situation any different than if it was just Sony?

And what are those graphs of? I can't imagine it's profit. Nintendo's graph wouldn't look like that.

Thank goodness there is one person in the thread without a case of brain damage.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Hehe, you put up unlabled charts, and blame it on everyone else.  Good job.

Yeah but what is more important is their profitability. And this is where Sony is struggling. Nintendo and MS will make a profit this QR but Sony will not.

Sony is at about 23 whereas MS is about at 18-19.  Its roughly a 50% drop by each company with Sony having a more drastic drop.

And yes, the profit reports will affect these stock prices, but everyone on this website is acting like Microsoft and Nintendo are doing phenomenally well, which in a way they are, but it certainly isn't reflected in their stock history.

I guess I thought too highly of the people on this website that they could read what is uniformly recognized as a stock chart.

Ummmm.......ask any board of executives if they care more about their stock price or there profits...

Profits are extremely important, but if your stock price can take a beating even if you are profitable, and your stock price can rise even if you are losing money.

As if.  You forgot to label them, and now you're trying to turn it around.

At the end of the day only one of these three companies is going to report a loss overall.

At the end of the day only one of these three companies is looking seriously at a loss in their gaming sector this quarter.

At the end of the day only one of these companies is seriously considering shutting down major divisions of their company.

At the end of the day, this thread's point is absolutely debunked.
