While i agree that if X360 can't outsell the PS3 by a large margin WW could be called a failure considering the prices, remember that the PS3 is the one that needs to outsell the X360 because the X360 still has like 5m of advantage and that would even increase that advantage, and if things don't change, it will never surpass it.

It could'nt outsell it last holiday with halo. This year there is NO format war and both have great lineups unlike PS3 last year. 360 may take America this holiday but no chance worldwide. 130 GBP maybe. Price isnt the issue for MS.

They are bundling the new pes in Europe. Which will help. It all hinges on how successful the new xbox experience is. If they can get some casuals they can at least equal the ps3 overall in Europe. However its much more likely that NA will give them the slight edge. Overall however this Christmas will essentially be a tie in hardware with the 360 selling a much larger amount of software.

Past atach rate is BS, what is important is how many software are sold for each coonsole sold, wich is slightly different. Whereas in the ussual atach rate you just divide the sw numbers by the HW, in the second method you see roughly how many games one buy when getting a brand new Hw. And if you see this numbers ww for last week, for example: Wii 6,1 - PS3 8,25 - x360 9,4

Wich shows that the atach rate is not that higher than the PS3. If one takes a look at past weeks, will see that both stay close on the average.
