It just burrows deeper into what fans love and detractors hate than ever before, and it will make few converts. It's a crying shame, given how many genuinely classic gaming moments there are here, given the countless exquisite creative touches, but Metal Gear Solid 4 is its own worst enemy. You could not ask for a funnier, cleverer, more ambitious or inspired or over-the-top conclusion to the Metal Gear Solid series, but it's definitely time to move on.

Think there was a review from a more casual magazine that gave it a 92, I'm afraid I can't recall the exact name of the magazine, but I remember a thread on the subject. My apologies.

Power Unlimited (a dutch all consoles game magazine) gave it a 90. the site is www.powerweb.nl but i don't think its on there yet, only in the magazine for now. I thought the score of this magazine is weird, he calls the game fenomenal but gave it a 90. Oh well still a good score ;)

I'd rather know the pros and cons of the game instead of the scores. Any chance you can sum them up?

Ow yeah I heard about that PU gave it only a 90, actually  I don't really take PU serious anymore. They gave AC a 99, GTA 4 100 and Viking a 90...

If you know then that there is also a journalist there who thinks every Nintendo game is godlike, then it is difficult to take them serious of course, in my opinion they are sometimes a little bit anti-sony, anyways I will add the score ^^

You mean youd rather know the pros right... With scores like these there cant be many cons. "long cut scenes" is the most i hear for "cons" which may not be a con for some.

Oh, come on... I'm one of the biggest AC supporters on this site but that score is freakin' ridiculous.

Uhm cons in opm (dutch) was graphics could have been prettier. Story to complex for people who are new to the series.

Pro's: Excellent camera, sound, a worthy conclusion to mgs series (sorry maybe a spoiler).

I'm dying to play this game. I want to see what the new control system is like and I missed the MGO beta. Plus, it means I have a new topic for my next editorial. :D
