Well, Kingdom Battle is not a third party game, its actually a second party, but other than that, happy to see this level of success for third party companies.

NPD determines these things based on who publishes the game. Kingdom Battle is published by Ubisoft so it's considered 3rd party.

Well, nobody is correct all the time.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Around the Network

1) Diablo 3 is definitely not like the others.  It's really more of a PC game than anything else.  I say, more PC style games like this (or Civ 6) need to come to Switch.

2) Surprised Sonic Mania didn't make the list.  I thought for sure it would have sold well like the Crash trilogy did.

I'm sure Skyrim would be on the list if its digital sales weren't excluded.

Nice to see the N.Sane Trilogy at #2; to think it got ported cos one employee decided to mess around on the weekend and see if they could get the first level running. Thankfully Activision seems to have learned, with Crash Team Racing and soon Spyro Reignited making their way to Switch.

Looking ahead, I wouldn't be surprised if Mortal Kombat 11 makes it to the top 10 in the future, given its strong performance on Switch in both April and May NPD.
