Will this be the end of remasters that are only 1 gen apart?? lol

If indeed this is true then honestly this is great news as my backlog is taking awhile to complete but would love to move forward as well.

Honestly as much i love a platform that can play games from the old system, i want also an old games that run in the new graphic, new improvement and slightly better graphic, and that is possible only with remaster/HD remaster and remake especially. Because i love to see the progression of game tech and graphic from old system to the new one.

I think it'd be fair to just wait for the actual product on shelves and see what it's capable of then the hyping of a PR man (as foretold by vivster the Great)

U think Mark Cerny is a PR man?? like Shue or Phil Spencer?

Just like what OPs source says ehmm hmmm

OP's Source is Wired Exclusive interview with Mark Cerny. Promoted By every playstation Twitter Handle. This is not a leak or Rumor its official.

Also considering that ray tracing is reality on Nvidia cards and now even on older generation cards, A custom Ray tracing solution designed for closed off API will be much more efficient that a PC version.

I'm going to say its going to be purely theoretical benchmarkings, but I won't mind being proven wrong when everything is done

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Mark said on Spiderman it took 15sec to load a new area, and with this new SSD it took 0.8sec. holyshizzles!

In this case at least (though I'm sure Xbox will also have it now), I was wrong about Raytracing (though we'd need to see more). Hearing that it'll pack an SSD faster than my PC is capable of is the bananas part! O_O

from what I understand is that the raw speed will be achieved in tandem with faster some sort of custom I/O boosted by SW

I wonder if Sony will bother with a new controller? I skimmed the article and didn't see any info ( might have missed it though ). I'm mostly happy with the DS4. The overall design and ergonomics are lovely. But I have had issues with durability.

Being based on the PS4 architecture, I hope there won't be many remasters of PS4 games that were remasters of PS3 games. The the PS5 itself sounds promising though...

If true it will have SSD and a lot of our forum experts were fooled by sony on this /joking.

So the previous leak are almost 70% true,  bigger Hard Disk but at the same time include small SSD/Nand flash memory , Zen 2, and Navi (probably Navi 10), backward compatibility, integration with the cloud gaming lke remote play,  beside the performance number like 14 - 12 teraflop, all leak has been confirmed . So YES I am excited.

Probably not. I can think of those kinds of remasters that have happened before even when the new console was backwards compatible at least.

Well I can understand moreso if it was from PS2 games to PS3 because of remastering to HD resolution.  But how much better do we really need from PS4 games upscaling to whatever PS5 will be?
