Yeah yeah.. I think everyone here knows just how much I dislike this game and, now I'm a backer in Star Citizen, and yes I've always been making fun of this particular game. I hope it doesn't flop.

I really want to go exploring, so I went with this package. It's a nice ship, built for exploring. Lucky me.

They even made an impressive brochure for it. Check it out.

I was just looking at some ships on Star Citizen a while ago when the Retaliator caught my eye. I'm still not completely hooked on the game until it's fully complete but it's a game that I can say has piqued my interest since Chris Roberts announced the game 2 years back.

What I really like about it is the ship designs, the adverts they make for them that almost sound like real car commercials. Also love the look of the visuals and the whole open space feel along with the quantum drive system (like the one in my sig). The fact you can group up with some friends and walk around the same ship while in hyperdrive in an open game that big is pretty amazing for a feat.

Having Mark Hamill , Gary Oldman, GIllian Anderson and Andy Serkis in the single player part of the game definitely has me sold on that part.

What I think would be really awesome is if they create or let us mod in a Venator or Victory class Star Destroyer and going into and out of hyperspace would be pretty amazing or at least seeing a fleet of them.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Yeah, the ship commercials is what sold me, because when I saw the Aquila, I thought "hell yeah, I'm gonna go exploring"

have to make sure to put insurance on these ships.

Two of my mates are still psyched about this that one of them backed and bought two ships that I canne remember but he also went out last year and nabbed himself a pretty expensive flight stick (the one with all those nice buttons that you just want to mash) just for that game (I think for ED as well, not sure), I don't think I'd go that far lol, I;m happy with my 360 pad with M+K setup.

Oh yeah the insurance part is a lil iffy for me, probably why I'd join a crew with a more bigger ship and have my own small cruiser to do little jobs with and do bigger tasks with a crew or just be some guy for hire.

Edit: nvm, I managed to somehow find the exact stick my mate went for (Polygon article incoming)

It's the top one pictured.

Apparently there is a custom one made for the game as well which I have to admit looks quite nice, though I do suck with flight sticks (which is why I dislike using them).
