Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What games are in program for Zelda's future ?

So I was thinking about The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes and then I realized that TH is the only other Zelda game made by the Zelda development team that was officially announced other than Zelda U. Now TH is launching in 5 days and probably only a few people are still working on it, making shure the servers for the online work properly and looking for any possible problem left behind, but knowing how polish the Zelda games usually are at launch most of the members of the team are already starting another project/joining the development of another game already in the works. Now in the last few days we've hard that dataminers found on the E-shop files leading to the existence of TLOZ: TP HD and this kind of file wouldn't be in the E-shop if the game wasn't almost ready to be released, right ? So the Zelda Development team was either split up in 3 teams for the 3 games or as someone pointed out the HD Remake of TP was assigned to someone else (Tanalus ?). Either way currently the only game developers can work on at the moment is Zelda U, which IMHO after a year since Game Awards has to be at a pretty good point in development. Now that leads us to think that they've recently started or they're about to start working on next projects. What is your opinion on their current sittuation and what kinds of games would you like them to do ?

I would like them to take a break, we've had enough Zelda for this gen, after the release of Zelda U, work on something else and then come back to the franchise.

By the way, I have european codes for the Zelda Triforce Heroes demo, does anyone want one?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I don't want to speculate on anything Zelda right now, Zelda Wii U news is all I'm looking forward to.

However, wasn't Triforce Heroes being primarily developed by another studio?

It was made in collaboration with Grezzo (this company needs to change its name, in Italy it means rude but in a more offensive way) a game developer that has already worked on many Zelda games in the last few years, still most of the work is made by the Zelda team, even if TH runs on the same engine of ALBW so the game was extremely fast to do...

How about allowing poor Link to rest for a couple of years?

Around the Network

After Zelda U comes out, no doubt the next Zelda title will be underway, which is most likely for the NX

I hope "delays" are not programed anymore.
And about the situation, you know very well my opinion: this gen = Lon Lon milk.

For once, I agree. Even I've run out of things to speculate about that game. Just give us something else, already. The last and only gameplay footage we got was 10 months ago, and it wasn't even direct feed. Just show us combat and give is a fucking title already.

TH is being made by Grezzo, the OoT3D/MM3D guys.

This'll be controversial, but after Zelda U, I'd be down with Aonuma making a Star Fox game. Like, an off rails, open solar system one.

Too bad Zero is probably going to kill Star Fox for another decade or so.
