Threshold Entertainment and The Tetris Company have announced plans to develop a feature film inspired by iconic puzzle game Tetris.
The film will be a "science-fiction epic" produced by Threshold chairman Larry Kasanoff and executive produced by The Tetris Company with Threshold's Jimmy Ienner.
"Everyone knows that Tetris is one of the best known, most beloved brands in the world," says Kasanoff. "What everyone doesn't know yet is this epic sci‐fi story that we’re going to tell. That's what's really exciting."
Threshold previously worked on movie adaptations of fighting game Mortal Kombat.

Tetris celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. We placed it fourth on our recent list of top 125 Nintendo games of all time.

I hope it's better than that Battleship adaption.
