120+ fps? Joking. But its great to have solid 60 fps.

Naughty Dog Working Hard to Push The Last of Us on PS4 Past 60 FPS and to Solve Performance Bugs

We’re little over a month from the release of The Last of Us Remastered on PS4, and the team at Naughty Dog is currently hard at work to improve performance and squash the last bugs slowing down the game, as mentioned by the resident star coder Corrinne Yu over Twitter.

We are coding hard over the weekends with our Naughty Dog graphics team to push The Last of Us past 60 fps.

Lead programmer Christian Gyrling is also working hard to squash the last performance bugs that are slowing the game down.

After 4 days of digging around in CPU/GPU traces I finally figured out what was slowing us down. On to the next perf bug! #TheLastOfUs#PS4

As an added bonus, Yu also shared more on the overtime she has to do to create the spectacular Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End trailer that impressed many at E3.

To graphics code head, face, Drake’s shirt for Uncharted 4 PS4 trailer, I slept over night at ND office many times. Such is reality.

Too often we forget that the gaming industry is a quite demanding working environment, and that the men and women at work on the games we love often spend nights and weekends at their desk to polish their code like a diamond. Maybe we should keep that in mind when we’re tempted to go out of our way to be nasty with our criticism of their work, which is something that I’m seeing way more than I’d like to, nowadays.

Long working hours often driven mostly by passion should definitely command a lot more respect than they do in certain internet-anonimity-driven environments.

Awesome! 60fps was good enough, so if they can get passed that, that'd be great!

I just want to know if there will be an upgrade progam for those who bought the PS3 version. From what I've seen I doubt it though.

Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move,  and Kinect.

So, 61 FPS? jk

If it has cross-play with PS3 online players I will buy it. I'm only playing its MP now (and Left Behind) because it's pure awesomeness.

Sony only offers upgrade services to games no one wants.  Makes them look good without losing too much.

Console master race confirmed?

i dont even understand why though, the average tv is only 50hz -60hz (most tvs 32inch or under display 50hz), hell youd be hard pressed to find a monitor that is more than 60hz nowadays with the transition to ips/pls/etc screens.

EDIT: is this just a port with higher res or new textures and stuff?

getting this day one btw since i never played it on ps3 (i actually didn't know of its existence until this year due to DoTA 2 and LoL eating up my free time)
