I wanted to like this game back in the day, but I just couldn't. The battle system really only shines in a 3D environment: when everything's on a 2D plane, i just feels too restrictive to be much fun.

Nice review! If only I had a playstation back then T_T

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Don't you think you should take out the Value Score? You always give it the same score as the Total Score.

Only the SNES version and the GBA versions are available in the west D;

Edit: And the mobile version on iOS/Android which is free.

Its done intentionally that way.

Total score is based on the number of points which is a total of 100. The value score is what the review score comes out like in a typical rating. I just placed it like that on purpose. Its always gonna be the same :P.

But you're putting extra work on yourself! Those 18 extra characters add up!

The PSX version is awesome. I loved this game to death at the time but it feels quite dated these days.
