I personally hate DLC and this is the total wrong type of DLC.

What was your opinion on the Luigi DLC for New Super Mario Bros U?

It's not an issue of implementation, but implementation in a way that is appropriate. Golf games are perfect for paid DLC, because it does not create asymmetry in user experience (unlike how paid characters or paid stages would impact, say, Smash Bros). Golf being a primarily solo experience benefits from DLC.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Whadya know? An actually believable rumour for once!

"If this is true, sounds like Nitendo is getting into the business of leaving courses out of games so they can DLC them in."

You know this ... how? Is it physically impossible to design more courses than would go in the game originally? What do you have to back up your accusation?

Nintendo late to da party as always.
Incomplete games and day one Dlc has been the norm since 2009

I personally hate DLC and this is the total wrong type of DLC. I was planning on getting this day one, but after this, I think I can wait to find a sale on the game. I'm kind of bias on this subject, so I'm sure other people will love this type news. I just won't pay full price for the game anymore.

yes because the same happened with Luigi U and Fire Emblem and Pikmin etc, all unfinished games with paid in-disc content

it's simple really.   if anyone (nintendo or otherwise) makes any DLC content then they "could have" bundled it in the original game.  therefore many gamers feel entitled to that content and proclaim all developers evil for not providing infinate content support for their very finite investment.

all DLC is a ripoff unless free in which case we get to complain that we we forced to spend internet bandwidth and developers shouldn't be so lazy as to ship incomplete games.
