Forums - Gaming Discussion - Has anyone heard anything about the Stalker IP, since 2012?

Tagged games:

There was a story in 2012 that said that the rights to Stalker 2 had been sold to Bethesda after the Ukrainian studio GSC Games was forced to layoff it's workers, then another story by a guy at CinemaBlend suggested it was sold/being sold to bitComposer.  Either way, I'm just curious if anyone's heard anything about the series since?

Around the Network

The IP still belongs to GSC Gameworld however they have been very unsuccessful in find an investor to the IP thus far and call of pripyat was decent so I would like to see some more iterations.

Hopefully they do find one, it really is a great series, I and I think everyone should get a chance to check it out.  Great news that GSC still owns it though, the X-Ray engine was/is a goddamn masterpiece.

A new iteration from the IP likely won't be released in the near future.
