As I stare at my television screen; currently on the pause screen to be exact, many thoughts are racing through my head. How could I let this slip right by me? Why couldn't I have been older in 2002? What the hell is a Hallow Bastion anyway?

Confession time: The year is 2014, I am 20 years old, and I have never played a Kingdom Hearts game. Until, now that is. Or rather, a few weeks ago.

Maybe I was too young to get into a game like this when I was younger; because I was a gamer even back then. Maybe Nintendo clouded my judgement with it's red plumber and kart racing.

Reguardless of the reasons, I just feel so ashamed to admit that I'm just now finding out about this game, nearly 12 years after it originally launched. I'm about to face the final (or one of) bosses in the game; but couldn't wait until I finished that to make this thread.

This game is spectacular. It's amazing to think I'm playing a game that came out in 2002. No other game has come close to retaining it's freshness after that long, in my opinion. Can't wait for 2.5 to launch this year, and then KH3 next year. I am now a fan.

These games where part of my childhood! I used to play this games a lot, and I even followed the story (I know, crazy!). As the series got bigger I started to lose interest, the story got really hard to follow.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

Meh. I find KH1 to be a little dated. Although the PS3 version may lighten that, since the camera on the PS2 version is for some reason controlled with the L2/R2. Anyway, I thought the game was ok.

Perhaps I was biased because I played it after KH2, which is FUN AS SHIT.

For shame, how dare you wait this long to play one of my favorite games. Well I suppose it is actually a good time with KH 2.5 coming out and finally KH3 being released after 10 years of waiting.

Haven't played them myself either. Will hopefully complete both in time for KH3 though.

no excuses man

I played them soon after they came out, because I heard the words Final Fantasy. I needed more in what was at the time only a single FF released on the PS2. Became one of my favorites as well, and have always been to poor to buy handhelds to continue on with the series. Which has always disappointed me that there has not been a new KH release for consoles in 8 years+.
