Many agreed with him. How can you guys possibly think this??!? Xbox One is still sold out in some area in the US. I live in the suburbs and you cannot find Xbox One units at best buy. Xbox One can easily do 200k the first week in January, then 150k the second week, 120k the third, and 120k in the fourth. Xbox One sales will be near 600k for the month of January. How can you guys possibly think that it will only do around 250k? I want to seriously learn how you guys came up with that number. I expect PS4 to do more than a Million in January and Wii U to do around 300k

Well... all console sales should go down since there are no real games out on January for any of the consoles... With that being said, I think the x1 will do better than the wiiU just cause the wiiU requires new games to make it sell vs x1 has that "next gen console" thing behind it...

It's not doing so hot now. It will only get worse the further away from the holidays we get.

I don't think it will do as bad as the Wii U did last January, but I wouldn't surprised if the Wii U outsold the X1 this month... That $500 price tag is going to hurt it...

"Not so hot"? It's numbers right now are likely due to supply limitations. It'll do well in January. It'll be a few months before we can start to make any (reasonably informed) statements regarding the status of the "console wars."

When it comes to the Best Buy I work at it's like the Wii U all over again. We've had 25+ Xbox Ones for 2 weeks now and nobody is buying them. Then just yesterday we got even MORE of them. If this keeps up then just like the Wii U, we will have a pile of Ones for months untill Microsoft takes some back.

Depends on US demand really. European demand is completely satisfied including in the UK now and there isn't really anything that's going to reignite sales in January. The price point is probably a big stumbling bloc though. It costs more than the PS3 did and that took several months to sell through it's launch shipment in the UK.

I do think Wii U and XB1 January's will be pretty similar as things stand though. I'm not convinced PS4 is going to do mega numbers in Q1 14 though either.
