I paid $350 just to get a Vita one week early. Totally worth it. That was the only system I had day one. Everything else was a few weeks or so after release.

Nintendo 64 launched with Super Mario 64, which is arguably still the most iconic 3D game ever made.

Dreamcast launched with SoulCalibur, which is still the greatest fighting game I've ever played.

Xbox launched with Halo: Combat Evolved, which is still the greatest first-person shooter I've ever played.

Just admit it, this thread was a dud. No need to prolong its existance.

Anyway I'm having to wait on Amazon. Dev kits can't play retail games.

I remember the 360 having a pretty good launch. Perfect Dark, Kameo, Condemned, COD 2, and PGR3 were all standout games.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

My favourite console launches?

Nintendo 64: Can't remember how, but we won something from somewhere and on launch day a random delivery guy appeared at 9PM with a 64 plus the Mario game, I was so happy!
