Ive only ever had 3 shiny pokemon (that I can remeber) that werent from events, a Geodude and 2 Zubats. Yeah thanks a lot guys. But today after less than 20 hours of playing Pokemon X Ive already caught my first shiny, a female shiny Mantyke =D

So anyone else had some crazy luck starting the new generation of Pokemon?

Didn't they say they made it easier to encounter shinies in X/Y? Don't mean to crap on your parade though, congrats.

Was the first thing I thought when I saw it. Remember though it used to be something like 8000/1 chance or something so even doubling that its still insanely unlikely to find them

I've played tons (all gens, multiple times, EV/IV/breeding/perfect Pokemon...etc), but I have no idea how many hours :p

I guess the games just hate you. Although those 2 Zubats kind of felt like the game punishing me. FUCKING ZUBATS
