Lol this reminds me, my grandma used to be so against Harry Potter because the church she went to said "it opens doors". She wouldnt let me or any of my cousins watch it but things like Chronicles of Narnia or Lord of the Rings were perfectly acceptable.

One time we put it on and she watched it for like an hour with us before saying, "this is pretty good, what is it?" We told her and she freaked out screaming "TURN THIS FILTH OFF!!!"
