Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Now that the WiiU is getting some games and the 3DS is beasting everywhere, is Nintendo making a comeback on VGchartz? Thank Tbone's employment with me!

I guess once it starts outselling the Vita every week then the heat will move off it again some what.

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

I guess we'll see, it depends on the Wii U, XBox One, and Playstation 4 sales.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Mabye. Thing is Nintendo has always dominated the handheld market, their worst ever being the GBA, which still did very respectable. With the exception of the Wii, consoles have never really been their forte. I think the Wii-U will pick up the slack a bit, but not like the Wii like some people want so hard to believe. In retrospect, E3 was pretty patchetic for the Wii-U, and with the exception of maybe Bayonetta 2 & X & Zelda, I don't see the system getting any major system sellers anytime. I think it's safe to say at this point that Sony is going to take the console market next gen, and Nintendo is going to continue dominating in portables.

But is that only because they have basically 4 systems out right now, and the Vita was not really supported much at E3 so it was some PS4, PS3, Xbone and 360 till compete with four Nintendo systems.

I don't think the DS/Wii had any steam this E3...

Nintendo never had a place here on VGC! Let me re-phrase that, Nintendo never had a dominating influence here on VGC. This site has always been a place for Sony fans and occasionally a few MS fans but yeah PlayStation name rules the VGC threads and stories.

We used to have many prominent very active Nintendo members and the threads were plenty. Not all the time, but Nintendo has had a stronger presence at some points inthe past and now than it did for much of this year ( besides E3 time frame).

Sony games always confuse me though. They always get excited for what seems to be nothing. I have no interest in any of the games I see for the vita or that they announce in MUGENS thread. PS3 games interest me, just not Vita games. I just do not get it. But it is obviously a hit among many so what can I say.

Their power is waning though. That is one truth I do know.

According to them, each Vita game that get's announced is supposedly going to be it's savior that will skyrocket it's sales and beat the 3DS :P
