I put the Awakening disc into my PS3and it comes up with a message saying I need DAO game data and to ejecte the Awakening disc and put in the Origins disc. WhenI do that all that happens is Origins starts up.

What's up with that?

Is my Origins data corrupted? Should I delete the game data for Origins and re-install it?

The Awakening disc comes with a patch, but installing the patch does nothing to fix the problem, and I have the latest updates for origins.

Kind of confused by the post. So you do have origin save data right? It doesn't work if you don't have save data from origin because it's an expansion. If you do have save data and it just isn't working you probably have corrupted save data. That's why cloud saves from PS+ come in handy.

Well the message says I need game data, not save data. You actually don't need save data for Awakening because you don't need to play with an Origins character or have completed an Origins campaign. I have a ton of save data for Origins as I've played thorugh the campaign several times, and I've loaded a few of my Origins games just to make sure they're still working OK. It does look like some of my saves might have corrupted as I some post coronation saves don;t seem to be appearing for some characters, but there are definitely uncorrupted saves on my HDD.

Yes just delete the game data.. sometimes watching p0rn disrupts the game data

Assuming you're not joking, would that apply to watching non-p0rn streamed video, like TV shows, on the PS3 browser?

Sorry for the bad joke, but it just popped into mind that this could be the situation for some in the future.

Just in case there was some sort of upgrade or connection to the DA servers needed I did actually sign in to PSN.

Figured out the problem. DA:O is the EU/Aus/NZ version, but Awakening is the Asia/Pacific version. Awakening doesn't recognise the DA:O game data. I don't suppose there's a way around that and I'll have to get a refund from the person I bought the game off.
