This thread is the 1st of many for all VGChartz Forum Members to predict what a Title from the PS3 will have in global lifetime sales by years end, in this case Gran Turismo 5!

Once Decided and posted i'll put your name up in the second post with your prediction. Make sure to use ##.##mil in it, So if you think 10,560,000 say 10.56mil.

Isn't GT5 already over 9 Million ?

Lifetime sales for GT5 in 2013 =  10Mi

Anyways, I predict 10.4m

It may be adjusted up at some point after PD release their shipment data. GT5: Prologue is definitely under-tracked, no question about it.

However, if there are no adjustments I'd say it will be at about 9.55m at years end.

It sold 1.5m in 2012, down only 200k from 2011 where it sold 1.7m. Even with new consoles coming and hardware down I can see it selling in the region of 900k this year. Probably being a bit pessimistic even.

@Jay 450k in 2013 is absolutely tiny, can't see it doing that little. That's only 400k to go for the rest of the year.

Edit: Ok you adjusted it up 200k, that's a bit more reasonable but still too small imo.

Nah it's at 8.65m bro.  We arent going by shipped numbers, we are going off sold.

I adjusted my prediction to 9.3m as i though it was aroun 8.5m for some reason.  My predictions are going to be lower for most predictions than usual because next gen announcements will cut legs off of many games.

This has been known for a very long time and im pretty sure it is 9.2m shipped as that is how companies report figures.  They go off of shipped while vgchartz goes off sold from retailers.  Shipped means sold to developers

Okay then if we are using VGC sold numbers I change my prediction to 9.5m
