Oh god what was that!?

I can't take this shit!! I'm gonna lose my mind.

But I have to finish it. I'm already four hours in.

I just have to get to that panel across the room. One step at a time.

*Crack!*

OH GOD OH GOD I HATE THIS!

Okay I finally made it. Great now I have to go into another room. Fabulous.

Oh shit, there's a body right in the middle of the hallway. It's gonna come alive and kill me or some shit. I just know it is. I'm not going forward. I have to stay right where I am and not move... Okay I'm got getting anywhere with this. Let's just get it over with. *walks toward body*

*WHOOSH* *body carried away by vaccuum from sudden breach in the hull, followed by scary noises*

FUCK!!! SHIT BALLS!

Then I repeat the steps above until I make it to the nearest save station, save my game and get the Dead Space disc the hell outta my PS3 and play Kirby's Epic Yarn or something like that. Then, a week later, I'll take out Dead Space and try again. But it's always the same thing.

I'm a wuss. A scaredy-cat. I can't seem to play Dead Space for more than half an hour before I get scared to death. When I first started Dead Space, I hadn't played any scary game at all, so I was like "I'll get the best effect if I play it at night!"

So I started playing Dead Space last September at 11:00PM with only my 40" TV on, and plugged in my surround headphones.

Needless to say I never did that again.

But now, even with all the lights on in my basement, I this game still scares the shit out of me even when I'm playing at 2 PM.

I really wanna play this game, but I don't see how I'm gonna finish it at this rate. Today was the first time I'd played it in probably a month, because I know I get so scared whenever I play it. What do I do?

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

You just need to tell yourself that it is just a game and that none of it is real and that nothing will happen to you. This is usually what I do when I have watched a scary movie at night and it usually helps. My problem is that I think about all the different scenarios that could happen if it was real.

If it is that bad just play it in the middle of the day somewhere where there are plenty of windows.

How did I know you were explaining Dead Space even before you said that's what it was?

Dead space is a quality game. Very scary at times too. Not sure what to suggest that could help you play it. It only gets scarier towards the end.

You need to be a man with BIG balls to be able to play Dead Space at 2 AM in the middle of the night. I remember when the dead space 2 demo came out and I didn't really know the franchise that well (just thought it was a generic space shooter), one of my friends told me to download it and play it at night.

So I thought why the heck not, whats the big deal with playing a shooter at night, I always do that? So I started the sucker up at 2 AM all ready to kick some alien backs. So the game started I was walking down this hallway for a few minutes, collecting guns and pressing buttons here and there. Nothing happened, I was getting kind of bored.

So I kept going, I was walking down this empty corridor with large test tubes on the right. I was walking, minding my own business WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN A HIDEOUS THING JUMPED OUT OF THE TEST TUBE.

I almost wet myself and threw the controller up in the air. My heart beat jumped up to some crazy max amount and the monster proceeded to pour some kind of acid on my head liquifying it. Although I finished the demo, didn't play the game ever since. The game manages to scare you when you least expect it. Just when you think its safe and take a chill pill is when the monsters attack you.

Watch a Let's Play of it first. You will be able to remember where everything is and it won't scare you.

I recommend Dodger's Let's Play of Dead Space. She's hilarious!

How did you know ninpie?

Play it during the day time.

Anyone ever been punched in the armpit? It really doesn't hurt at all.

I remember watching my dad play it. I also played it for a little while and needless to say I didn't sleep that night. (I was also younger when this came out...)

Derp.

Err.... OK.

reminds me of when I played Resident Evil:Remake on my GC .. only difference is, that that game actually is scary

Punched in the armpit?????

You should try Amnesia: The dark decent :p. Anyway I recommend you play with sunlight and no headphones at all, it may take the experience away but at least you will be able to finish it, I know that's what I did in order to finish Amnesia xD
