I am sad that Arkane didn't make a sequel to Dark Messiah of Might & Magic but Dishonored looks like an interesting and sophisticated game. The design looks a bit too much Bioshock (Bioshock is great but I feel they shouldn't copy it). I am sure this will be a quality game.

The thing that I'm most looking forward to seeing more of from this game is the art. The art director, Viktor Antonov, is the same guy who was art director for half life 2 and I quite like the designs of the striders and the combine facilities and City 17. I agree it does sort of resemble Bioshock but you can clearly see the half life heritage as well in the outdoor environments and non-organic entities.

You are right, the outdoor scenes and technology look depressing and hostile like in Half-Life 2. I love Half Life 2.

I expect this game to get good reviews, +85%. I wonder if it's coming out this year.
