Here are my words on Firaxis’ X-COM remake, here are the lead developer’s words, and below, for the first time, is your own chance to eyeball it in glorious technicolour and living motion.

Also, another interview with Jake Solomon will be on the site in the next few days, which goes into whether special abilities rule the tactical roost and why the new game only has one base (and why it’s not actually that simple).

X-COM: Enemy Unknown was possibly the greatest strategy game of all time and for the most part this looks like a worthy remake. I'm really anticipating this but I have one question, why have I not heard about this before?

This looks like it's taken some queue from UFO series. I like that one a lot, too, but it leaves much to be desired and this remake looks to be a step up.

If they can capture even half of the magic of the first game it might just be my game of the year TBH
