Theres a deeper message there than just characters suck. - it entirely utter crap.

Waluigi is the worst character to come Nintendo, he is soo bad that I dont even approve of his appearance in Party games. Outside Midna and Maybe ( which he still has point about) theres really nothing interesting about any of those characters.

I xxclude Midna just cause I like her, but as IT currently stands shes forgettable till Nintendo does something else with. Tingle is sooo creepy he Memberable.

Well, unlike the average Mario characters, at least Waluigi has some character.

The worst things of Waluigi start from his name itself! Wario is an easy and funny enough joke on Mario, but Waluigi just sounds crap, it's ugly in English, it's ugly in Italian and I'm sure there isn't any language in which it could be considered to sound good, except, maybe, Vogon and R'lyehian.

Not to mention he's a Dick Dastardly rip-off.
