COD has a high metascore and record breaking sales.

Offcourse a vocal minority composed of nonconformists, battlefield fanboys, and ps3 gamers who feel their COD isn't getting the spotlight gotta hate on it.

Does your ignorance know no bottom??? both versions of the game is getting hate.

BLOODY SCREEN! SO REAL!

Mixture of resentment at its popularity plus maybe some backlash by fans of the series who feel it didn't innovate enough.  I played through the beginning part, and it seems like usual fare, with the survival mode being the biggest and most interesting addition to the series (aka, Call of Duty gets a more standard horde mode).

yeah becasue the only way to have regenerating health is if you eyes piss blood......

and I also miss health packs, the old arena days of Unreal Tournament and Quake, good times., but thats a topic for another day

Yeah Halo statred the trend of having health being regenerated with the shield.

Then COD started it and now almost every game from the very best like U2 have it.

Business suits determine what features they think will sell, so they end up designing around it.  End result was even Duke Nukem Forever falling under this spell.  Health kits nor regenerating like Wolverine both not realistic.  But I do happen to miss the old way of health packs, which would be good for a change.

People like health regeneration, as it makes game more fun because now it is easier.

That is why almost all games have it.

There is a flow to play with health regeneration, that people do like for multiplayer.  This being said, having the ability to carry more than two weapons, and getting health packs, can also work in games.  I will say the reason why almost all games go with this health regeneration and two weapon model has less to do with it being "more fun", but now it is custom, based on how stuff sells.  Because games sell, everyone does it, and thus it ends up becoming the norm.  I believe Duke Nukem Forever suffered saleswise, because they moved away from the original formula.

How is your ignorance level?

Not only did I rank that reason as 3rd in reasons why its getting hate but if you actually compare both pages on metacritic youll notice the 360 version user scores vastly outnumber the ps3 ones.

Sorry champ, sometimes im just right, bias and all :)
