 I today just remebered that I made a line graph based on the marketshare. I used vgchartz numbers as always. It does not include ps1or gameboy sadly. Anyway its interesting to see

 

I didn't do sales so far in 2011 yet. I'll get that down sometime

There the numbers in the left where sony and nintendo are inda messy but little could I do. I'll do handhelds later

Nice graphs. Now make one for profit of each game divisions although MS would have some extra sales from PC. Doesn't matter though considering I know who comes out on top.

The 2nd graph is the important one, market-share wise. Though really you could argue forever on when PS2 hardware sales stopped being relevant (outside of emerging markets ofcourse)

Good work, very interesting.

2011 so far for home consoles (Wii, X360, PS3, PS2), according to VGC:

Sony 43%
MS: 29%
Ninty: 28%

Oops, I meant profit.  Not sure why I said revenue considering profit is the most important.  Thanks for the catch.
