X-Factor because its just generally more entertaining the contestants put on more of a show than they ever did on Idol, Well on our versions in Australia at least.

Reality shows suck in general (The Amazing Race is the only one I've ever genuenly liked). X-Factor seems like it will replace Idol though.

I think whenever you have simon cowal, and you can make a good show it will probably be pretty big! The Amazing race did win an emmy this year!

It also one Best Reality Competition Show every year since the category appeared, with the exception of last year (Top Chef somehow managed to beat it). Amazing show (the only good thing to ever come out of Reality TV).

X-Factor didn't do very well in the ratings department though. It premiered lower than The Voice, and Modern Family beat it on Wednesday (go Modern Family go!!!).

Music shows are the worst, with 99.9% of people being average karaoke singers at best and the other 0.1% being lucky to reach the heady hights of almost semi-talented.

Another big problem with music shows is that they're basically clones of each other. Other reality shows at least have more unique concepts, but with music shows it's like 'if you've seen one, you've seen them all'.

I'm so happy for Modern Family!!! They really got a big Emmy boost. I'm hoping The Big Bang Theory kicks X-Factor's ass on Thursday.

The Big Bang Theory is the best show on TV!!!!!

To answer the OP, Flavor of Love beats them both. It needs to come back.
