Anyways, the list of titles coming out this year are crazy, so i am going to list them out and see why they might lose to the all might inFAMOUS 2

Zelda: SS - Now there is no doubt that Zelda this year will be a great game, ALL of the past Zelda games have been good, and with 1:1 motion the combat is going to be Epic. However, being great isn't going to cut it. For it to be even a cotender for game of the year it is going to need to be better than Twilight Princess. Can it do it?

Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception - To me, this game is the biggest thread to inFAMOUS 2 for game of the year. Uncharted 2 was polished to the bone and i can see the same for Uncharted 3. However, one might say that Uncharted 2 was rated so high, that there is no way that Uncharted 3 can top it. Expectations alone might kill the games chance for game of the year.

Mass Effect 3 - Mass Effect 2 is looked at the best game of the whole generation by most that have played it. However, i feel that the game has a huge chance of falling on it face with the narrative or combat. Its not easy to keep a game like this polished to bone unlike Uncharted 3 and Zelda.

The Last Guardian - LOL at anyone that thinks its coming out this year ;)

New Assassins Creed - Part II almost had 2009 in the bag if it wasn't for that damn Uncharted 2, and i don't think it will take revenge any time soon. 

Sorry if i missed out on any other important GOTY contenders (PC games included), but this is all i can think of. Now inFAMOUS 2 has shot, but it will depend on the user generated content it brings out. It will either save or kill it when it comes to GOTY. Let me know what you think. And if you wanna make any bets, hit me up.

I am thinking a 60% chance of inFAMOUS 2 being GOTY, and thats not bad at all.

Minimal but it will not stop it from being a damn good game.

for Nintendo fans it will be Zelda...for Xbox fans it will be Gears of War...and for PS fans it will be Uncharted...and overall it will be Infamous 2 ^^

Skyrim And Uncharted 3 Will take most GOTYS home wipe the floor with every other game this year.

Uncharted 3 comes out this year so zero chances...

10% I say which is very good considering the stiff competiton this year.

Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 3, Gears of War 3, Resistance 3, Skyrim, L.A. Noire, Zelda, Rage, Batman: Arkham City, Call of Duty, Battlefield 3, Portal 2, etc ect.

No one will know. I doubt anyone thought that the well received Uncharted: Drake's Fortune would spawn one of the most critically acclaimed games in history.

I doubt anyone thought that the developers behind the mediocre PS2 game, Urban Chaos, would have ever created a Game of the Year contender and a major franchise that is now the Batman: Arkham series.

Bayonetta went from being a cheesy Devil May Cry clone, to becoming the new industry standard in terms of hack 'n' slash combat. I remember it catching so much flack and sneers before it's release and then it came, it saw and it blew people away.

I could pull a lot more examples out, but gamers are rarely ever right when predicting things like sales, scores or industry standards. For all we know, Mass Effect 3 could be broken on release, Uncharted may be too much of the same, The Last Guardian could be boring and over presumptious and Zelda could be a complete mess. 

That also means this year, games like L.A. Noire, Infamous 2, RAGE, Amulur: The Reckoning, Journey, Portal 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dark Souls or XCOM could be possible contenders.

Hell, a Kinect game could come out and be the new Guitar Hero. We won't know until at least late November.

Or at least add "not on the Wii in 2D" as thats the reason DKCR lost out on GOTY awards.
