What is interesting is we are now heading towards the time when PS3 had it's price cut and the new slim model last year (sept 1st?).

yes... ps3 will be down by just under 1.0m yoy during september and by about 600k during October.

Isn't it a little bit early to already spin September and October?

The point was the current PS3 numbers looked good against a period when we sort of knew a price cut and slim was coming last year. So the numbers we have are going up against that period. If it didn't beat those numbers it would be very worrying indeed. That was what i was trying to say. It isn't about spinning anything. In terms of year over year sales the PS3 has just over a month left of that period. It will be interesting to see what Sony do to try and counter that. Move will have no effect on it at all. As said before i can't see people paying £300 for a PS3 then £100 for the controllers just to play a Harry Potter style game, that is a lot of wishful thinking!

Oh yes, what you meant is clearer now, but what kow answered looked more like he can't wait for September to see PS3 finally down weekly YoY.

About Move, IMVHO Sony needs a $50/50€ price cut too to be able to offer both PS3/Move bundles and separed purchases of them that stay within more reasonable limits.
